This message encompasses; the past, present, and vision of the APIIT education group as we navigate issues and wishes on improving the learning experience as education having an impact from technology was something long overdue in the world and with Malaysia in focus, the APIIT education group having to be one of the first institutions to partner with AWS in mentoring and bringing up other institutions in Malaysia. Our Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Gurpardeep Singh articulates all the key details of the elements of our technical transformation ranging from the imperatives such as student retention and sustainability, our legacy digital services architecture(pre-2017), how the use of Gartner bore a cornerstone in providing a “holistic view” of the whole system, Horizon 2020(a mission set forth for APU’s digital services transformation, observe diagram below, the most versatile mobile application for students in Malaysia(ApSpace), mitigations against the effects of the pandemic and concludes all this with the lessons learned along the journey.
